No pressure. No commitment. Just a conversation.
The best place to start is a free discovery call โ usually around 30 minutes, over the phone or on Zoom, completely relaxed. We'll talk about where you are in your pregnancy, what you're hoping for, and whether you feel like I'm the right person to support you.
Set up a free Calendly account to let families book directly into your diary. It's free, works on your phone, and sends automatic reminders.
Add your Calendly booking link here once set up โ go to calendly.com to create a free account.
I'll get back to you as soon as I can โ usually within 24 hours.
What exactly does a doula do that a midwife doesn't?
Your midwife provides essential clinical care for you and your baby. I provide continuous, one-to-one emotional and physical support โ entirely focused on your experience. Midwives are often caring for several women at once; I am there only for you.
Do I need a doula if I have a supportive partner?
A supportive partner is wonderful โ and I'm here to support them too. Many birth partners find that having a doula takes enormous pressure off them, allowing them to be present and loving rather than feeling responsible for everything. We work together, not instead of each other.
Can I have a doula for a planned caesarean?
Absolutely. A planned caesarean birth is still a birth โ and you still deserve continuous support throughout. I can be with you in theatre (subject to the hospital's policy) and will be there for you in recovery and beyond.
Is it too late to hire a doula?
It is never too late. I will always do my best to support families who come to me late in pregnancy. Please just get in touch and we'll see what we can do.
What areas do you cover in Cornwall?
I cover Cornwall widely โ from the far west to the Tamar Valley, from the north coast to the south. Please get in touch to confirm coverage for your specific location; I will always do my best to be there.
How much does it cost?
Please get in touch to discuss fees โ I'm happy to talk through options and find something that works for your family. I believe everyone who wants doula support should be able to access it.
