about me

I'm Judith, a doula based in Cornwall, providing calm, compassionate support throughout pregnancy, birth and the early weeks of parenthood. While I work with families across Cornwall, many of my antenatal and postnatal services are also available online. As a proud mother of six grown children and grandmother of four, I've experienced first-hand the joys, challenges and unpredictability of welcoming a new baby. Alongside my own journey, I spent ten years working on an NHS postnatal ward, supporting mothers and babies with everything from feeding challenges to caring for premature newborns. This experience, combined with my professional doula training, allows me to offer practical guidance alongside emotional reassurance. My role isn't to tell you how your birth or parenting journey should look - it's to listen, support and help you feel informed, confident and cared for every step of the way. Whether you need someone to prepare for birth, support you during labour or simply be a reassuring presence in those precious early weeks, I'm here for you.I'd love to hear your story. Please feel free to get in touch for a relaxed, no-obligation chat about how I can support you and your family.

"From the very beginning of my pregnancy, Judith held me with such warmth, compassion and care. Pregnancy brought up so many fears for me, and at every stage she met them with genuine curiosity, deep understanding and complete acceptance. If you are looking for someone to walk alongside you through pregnancy, birth and beyond, I cannot recommend Judith highly enough. She has left a lasting mark on our family's story, and we will always be profoundly grateful for her."

"We completed Judith's online antenatal course before our baby arrived, and it really was amazing.I honestly thought having a doula would mainly benefit my partner during labour, but as the birth partner myself, I was surprised by how much support I felt from having Judith there.Looking back, I can't imagine going through that part of our birth without her. We're so grateful for everything Judith did, and I'd recommend her to anyone."

birth and post natal

From the very beginning of my pregnancy, Judith held me with such warmth, compassion and care. Pregnancy brought up so many fears for me, and at every stage she met them with genuine curiosity, deep understanding and complete acceptance. Never once did she minimise what I was feeling or make me question my experience. Instead, she helped me feel seen, reassured and more connected to my own strength. When my birth became long, complex and ultimately traumatic, Judith dropped everything and travelled from Cornwall to London to be with us. I don't think I will ever be able to put into words what her presence meant to me and my partner. In one of the most vulnerable moments of our lives, she was calm, steady and deeply attuned. She advocated for my wishes when I couldn't, offered unwavering emotional support to both of us and somehow created moments of safety and tenderness in the middle of an incredibly difficult birth. Looking back, I cannot imagine going through that experience without her by our side. Her care did not end once our son was born. Spending time with us in those precious first days as we found our feet as a family was invaluable. She gently cared for us, encouraged us, created space for us to rest and process everything we had been through, and helped us begin this new chapter feeling held rather than alone.Judith is an extraordinary doula. Her knowledge and professionalism are exceptional, but it is her presence that makes her truly special. She has a rare ability to help you feel completely safe, deeply understood and wholly trusted in your own journey. If you are looking for someone to walk alongside you through pregnancy, birth and beyond, I cannot recommend Judith highly enough. She has left a lasting mark on our family's story, and we will always be profoundly grateful for her.

antenatal & birth

We completed Judith's online antenatal course before our baby arrived, and it was amazing. It gave us so much practical information and really helped us feel prepared for both the birth and those first few weeks of becoming parents. When our birth took an unexpected turn and moved very far away from the plan we'd spent so much time preparing for, I reached out to Judith to see if she might be able to support us. She replied almost immediately and came to meet us on the labour ward. Having her there made such a difference. She provided such a steady and reassuring presence at exactly the right time and helped both me and my partner feel more confident and empowered to make decisions as things changed.I honestly thought having a doula would mainly benefit my partner during labour, but as the birth partner myself, I was surprised by how much support I felt from having Judith there. She supported us both without ever taking over, and her reassurance and experience helped us navigate a situation that felt overwhelming.Looking back, I can't imagine going through that part of our birth without her. We're so grateful for everything Judith did, and I'd recommend her to anyone.
