The person behind the support.
I'm a birth and postnatal doula based in Cornwall. I work alongside you on your journey, offering a steady, caring presence as you navigate this special time. Whether you are preparing for birth or settling into life with a baby, I am here to be your calm, supportive guide.
I came to doula work because I believe — with everything I have — that birth matters. Not just the outcome, but the experience. The way a person feels during one of the most profound moments of their life stays with them forever. I want to be part of making that a positive memory.
I am a proud mother of six grown children and a proud grandmother of four. Being part of their births and watching them grow has been one of my greatest joys.
Alongside this, I spent a decade working with the NHS on a postnatal ward, supporting mothers and babies with everything from feeding challenges to early arrivals. I bring this experience, along with a deep sense of care, to every family I support.
"I believe that every person who gives birth is capable of more than they know. Not because birth is easy — it isn't always — but because the human body and spirit are extraordinary things."
"I believe that feeling supported, informed, and genuinely heard makes a measurable difference to birth outcomes and to how families begin."
"I believe that a doula's job is to fade into the background when things are going beautifully, and to step gently forward when you need an anchor."
"And I believe that the work I do is a privilege — every single time."
I've lived in Cornwall for many years and I love this county deeply. There's something about the landscape here — the wildness of it, the pace of it — that I think shapes the people who live here. I feel incredibly lucky to do this work in a place I love, for families who call it home too.
I know the hospitals, the birth centres, the home birth community. I know the roads at 3am when a baby decides it's time. Cornwall is my patch, and it's an honour to support families here.
